What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): patience, understanding, empathy, non-judgmental, respect for privacy and confidentiality, creativity, Reliability, good communication skills, positive attitude, trustworthy, excellent time keeping, good sense of humor, friendly approachable.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I already have experience with neurodivergent children within my own personal life. I would encourage them to make their own decisions. with regards to type of activities we could engage in on a daily basis. I would help them develop skills by focusing on progress not perfection. Additionally I would help with emotional regulation, building confidence while supporting with daily routines. last but not least I would make sure that the child has fun and enjoys the activities that we do together.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): What appeals to me most about this Personal Assistant role is the opportunity to make a positive difference in a child’s daily life. I’m drawn to the idea of helping a bright, energetic young person develop confidence, independence, and life skills while supporting their emotional and social growth. I enjoy working with children who think and experience the world differently, and I find it rewarding to help them navigate challenges with patience, creativity, and encouragement. I also like that the role involves being active, playing outdoors, and using imagination to make learning and development fun. Supporting a child with ADHD, Dyspraxia, and PKU requires understanding, consistency, and empathy — qualities I naturally bring to my work. The chance to help them thrive while ensuring their safety and happiness really appeals to me.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends, I enjoy watch rugby and football on the tv. As well as live when I can. I daily play games on my phone. I play a wide variety of games on my phone. Ever weekend I watch my step son play football and rugby. I have most of the marvel super heroes films which watch from time to time but my favorite film franchise is Harry Potter.

So I am used to arranging events, games and activities to suit neurodivergent children. My counselling background has always come in handy when it comes to children emotional regulations and behavior.
