A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am an 8 year old boy living with my family in Mountain Ash. I have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I enjoy spending time outdoors and taking part in activities in my local community.

I love parks, dinosaurs, horses, swimming, soft play and bowling. I can be very active and enjoy exploring new places. I wear ear defenders when I need them and sometimes pace or make noises to help me regulate myself and talk to my hand puppets which helps me feel safe.

I have limited awareness of danger and need support to keep me safe when I am out and about. I can sometimes run off if I become interested in something, so I need a Personal Assistant who can stay attentive and provide consistent supervision. I can also need reminders and prompts with some personal care tasks, including toileting.
