Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): During my employment at five-star care agency, my duties were to Carry out general tasks such as housework, laundry, and shopping. Helping clients with daily personal care such as washing, dressing, using the toilet, and feeding themselves. And ensuring the needs of the client are met to a high standard and treat them and family members with compassion and dignity at all times. Helping families get used to new caring responsibilities working with other health and social care professionals to provide individual care and development plans.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): having previously worked as a care assistant with the elderly, I found the role rewarding and felt it was my way of giving back to the local community. I felt that an important aspect of my job role was to give clients a bit of company, as well as helping them to remain independent within their own home.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): Caring for others has always been a great passion of mine, installed from my experience taking care of others from an early age. I have gained personal experience of the importance of what good care can do for patients and family members, I learnt quickly through these experiences that it comes with great responsibility, but is a job that you can gain a great sense of achievement from by knowing you can have such a positive impact in someones wellbeing or sense of comfort.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): the satisfaction of helping people remain within their homes with loved ones as well as being independent. I feel the job role gives me a great feeling of satisfaction knowing I have helped a client and their families wether its cleaning, cooking or helping with personal needs.

What are your hobbies/interests?: I have always had an ambition to become a nurse and I am currently studying adult nursing at usw. I enjoy keeping active and I feel its a great way to keep mentally and physically fit especially when studying as Ia feel it keeps me focused. I also enjoy reading and cooking but mostly spending quality time with my young family.
