Helping and supporting patients with their personal care routines such as washing, dressing Assisting patients with domestic duties such as: changing, making beds and laundry Preparing and serving meals and assisting patients who need extra help with eating and drinking. Keeping detailed and daily records on the patient behaviour, moods, medication, and incidents according to their care plan. July 2018 -Dec2019: St. Augustine Hospital, Anambra State, Nigeria Health Care Assistant Key Responsibilities Providing support and help to the patients with mental health in the hospital ward. Aided in meeting the physical needs of patients. Aided patient group interaction and supporting them in their daily activities. Communicating with the patients and encouraging them to be positive in following their care plan. Keeping detailed daily records on the patient’s behaviour, mood, medications, and incidents in line with their care plan.
